Imagine you are a young woman who has been travelling for days because in the last period of your pregnancy they have called everyone back to their home town. You had just settled into Nazareth, you had enjoyed making the new house a home, ready for the baby. Everything was set and you had sat down and were surveying your surroundings. You hear the door go, great it's joseph. You are just about to say look what I have done to the place and he announces that your leaving first thing to Bethlehem. You were looking forward to putting your feet up until the baby was born, that's what people do right. Well that is not going to be happening anymore. All hands on deck to get everything ready for tomorrow.
The next day you leave really early in the morning, its a long journey and you can feel every movement the donkey makes every uphill, every down hill. The baby feels like its coming any moment, in fact you have started to get something that feels like pains but you just put it down to the donkey. Well at least you didn't have to walk you were dreading that. Your so glad that Joseph managed to get a donkey last minute in town.
Joseph has been amazing this last 9 months I mean it isn't even his baby, but he has taken this pregnancy on as if it was his. In fact he is taking his responsibility so seriously and he really is treating the arrival of this baby as the arrival of the king of Kings.
You still can't really get my head around everything, this angel appeared and told me that you were carrying the saviour of the world. you have to be honest there are times when you forget this. Still you're pregnant so you are taking extra special care of this little one as much as possible because every child is important and special and you cannot wait to meet your baby Jesus. He will change your world and I am sure many more as well.
I wanted to create a collection which show something of the spiritual reality of what is happening through the Christmas story. Starting with the fact that Mary was carrying GOD himself. So this would have made her glow physically or spiritually.
