The Royal Manger

How can a baby born in a shed be a king?
The royal stable catches the moments after Jesus was born when he was laying in a manger which was a very primitive trough surrounded by animals as we have here. If you look closely you can se the yellow glow from the manger and on the manger. Despite the fact that King Jesus was born in a very humble setting it does not cancel out the royalty and majesty of King Jesus.
The scene of this Christmas card again is telling the Christmas story from a different angle it all looks very plain but as always with my paintings there is a supernatural element to them.
You have my husband to thank for this image he said that I should paint the inside of a stable. This is one of my favourite ones as well. It features a lamb the one from the Lion and the Lamb, then the lamb is featured in the Royal Lamb.
